Région Réunion and the Governor of Boeny sign a partnership agreement for the construction of the Besely Campus agricultural high school

A look back at June 2023, when Huguette Bello, President of the Réunion region, held a series of meetings on the Big Island to strengthen decentralized cooperation. A partnership was signed with the Boeny region, in the north-west of the island, for the construction of the Besely Campus agricultural technical high school, supported by École du Monde.

A visit to Madagascar on June 18, 2023 by Huguette Bello, President of the Réunion region, led to the signing of an agreement with Moktar Andriatomanga, Governor of the Boeny region, for the construction of the Besely Campus technical agricultural high school. Together with École du Monde, Reunion's consular chamber will finance the groundbreaking of this new educational facility, which will serve the regional development of Boeny and the French-speaking world. Huguette Bello commented: "We are extremely proud to be partners in this project. Malagasy youth has the right to a future. Like ours and like all young people around the world. Education is the top priority. On Reunion Island and in Madagascar".

Huguette Bello also met the Ambassador in charge of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie in the Indian Ocean, Léonard-Emile Ognimba. At the heart of their discussions was the importance of defending the language shared by the countries in the zone, in order to strengthen cooperation, as well as the mobility of young Réunionese in neighboring islands.
